  • Whatever becomes readily available after a 20 page discussion and custom build and never used thread.

  • Where did the L in splayd come from?

I'm sure if I say Sporkife to someone they're more likely to guess what it is

  • Sporkife?

    Parklife.

  • long neck master race, no bean juice on the knuckles when you reach in the tin

    /pharrr

  • fuck all y'all ultralight weirdos

  • You guys need to WISE UP to the lightweighting. Single skin 1k 2x2 with closed cell foam core Spork or gtfo.

  • Splinters would make for great seasoning.

  • I see you also have fine tastes in camping cutlery, sir

  • so, what should I buy?

Toaks Long-handled titanium spoon with polished bowl

best piece of camping cutlery I've ever set eyes on!

  • With modern day eating whilst watching TV, plate in one hand and fork, no wait spoon, no fork in the other I felt I should check out sporks. There's three here. The one on the left is a Robert Welch combination of spoon and fork. I have provided a close up pic of the Ethos one in the centre to show the serrated left edge. The one on the right is a lightweight hard wearing plastic one, made by a Swedish company called Wildo. I was specifically looking for a cutting edge, but I have found that cutting is good either way because cutting with a serrated edge requires the food to be held still whilst cutting which renders the whole spork thing a bit pointless unless you use a left digit or use an additional fork. This could of course change out in the wilds/backwoods where I think the Wildo spork could come into it's own. The Wildo would also work best for soup, so I think for your bike-packing could be best supported by this one.

The Ethos spork is the one I expected to be the most useful, but is actually the least useful one for me.

The beautifully balanced and smooth Robert Welch spork is a pleasure to use when eating foods like a nice pasta or rice dish. It also cuts fairly well by just pressing the side through something like a sausage with no problem, thus not needing a serrated edge. This is the winner for "lazy home TV viewing / pie noshing".

  • you need to get out more

  • I feel like the channel in the one on the right would leave you with bean juice down your sleeve.

  • It's no wonder people turn up at coffee shops randomly attacking geeks with piercings and tattoos

  • I'm never in a coffee shop, good job.

  • Love it. Read all that in the voice of Patrick Bateman

  • The final comment on that (now locked) thread is amazing. So bleak :-)

Michael the bike won't sell. Your debts will continue to accrue. Your rent will be inescapable

  • You know he is back with a new thread?

  • And I trust everyone is behaving themselves this time?

  • Bit harsh to chase him over to a new thread. He's started it to keep it clean and sell his bike. The first one was funny. Giving him more shit on a different thread is just bullying IMO

  • I was a good boy.

  • Did the film ever get made ?

  • Did the film ever get made ?

  • I really couldn't believe how well the fixed version balanced compliance and comfort with precision handling and snappy performance.
