Lightweight tent recommendations?

I sometimes think I might invest in the next size up, in case I one day make a friend, or more realistically just need a bit more space - the one-person got a bit cramped on a week long tour a while back. I gather they’ve changed the ends somehow so you can lift the fly a bit for ventilation.

I have the 2 person one which in reality is just a slightly roomier 1 person tent, I definitely wouldn't want to share it! It's perfect for 1 and I've done 2 weeks in it no trouble.

Oh yeah looks like exact same thing. Guess if you're desperate for customer service or rapid postage you could do the alpkit but otherwise..

Although the alpkit is a little bit lighter

and more importantly packs down small enough to fit between drop handlebars.

Currently lying in a cloud up 2 having spent the last few nights in it. Can't fault it.

Re. Pack size chuck the poles and the stakes in your framebag and your laughing.

I pack tent. Groundsheet. Mat and sleeping bag in my saddlebag.

alpkit are ripoff merchants, take yr money elsewhere

Any suggestions?

I like my Wild Country Helm 2 for this - not the fanciest but outer pitch first and light enough
