Thanks, I did think it sounded mad, but he was very insistent it was against the law until I told him that the online chat person had said otherwise. I will try the fraud angle.
I had added the tracking to ebay before they sent the MC067 suspicious buyer email. Sent to the address given on eBay and Paypal so hopefully there's some protection, but no doubt they'll weasel out of it.
Before ebay did that, did you already update the tracking details on the auction sales page? Already withdraw the cash from paypal?
I’d say you should kick off to ebay/paypal if they try reverse the money.
Parcelfarce people are absolute nonces. If it is in their system and not yet delivered you can totally get it stopped and returned to sender. You must be very clear that is is suspected fraud, and that they must ‘stop and rts immediately’.
When I worked for a particular courier company on customer service we had this happen dozens of times a day for one of the big online stores. Sometimes it was already delivered but often it was possible to get the depot to cancel and rts.
Keep calling up and get them to sort their shit out.
