That's true. Maybe these dates are a guide to help people plan their qualifying rides. I'm certainly in the 'doing it in order to get through' category. I've booked them up as they have come up and not looked at those dates.

I'm fairly sure you don't have to ride them in order but I might well be wrong. As for the sign-up proper, https://www.paris-brest-paris.org/index2.php?lang=en&cat=inscription&page=comment_sinscrire says
The registration period begins on 25 May 2019 and ends on 03 July 2019.
So I still have a few weeks to ponder, amirite?

I'm going to stop spreading fake news!
You should just sign up. Do it! Wish I was fast enough to sit on your wheel.

Ha! I think I'm gonna ride the Old Roads 300 on the 11th and the Paddington Express (400) on the 18th, this way I am within the windows you posted anyway.
Need to think about the 600. Maybe the Pendle on the 8th of June (anybody on here doing it? Need to read up). The Exe-Buzzard the weekend after could work too.

You have definitely got the bug. It costs about €30 to sign up for a place and the rest of the money is paid once you qualify. I have a feeling that it is full but there might be a waiting list option. I think if you wait you won't get a place but I'm not sure.
I'm doing the Invictus kent 400 or Daunstey Dawdle 400 (or both if I feel OK) and then Windsor Chester Windsor on 1 June.

Website is not up to date, you can not register anymore once logged-in - it's been a week or two now :(
Définitivement complet pour l'édition 2019.

I've actually seen one remaining spot for the 90h pre-reg when refreshing the page. Of course the time window for BRMs counting towards pre-qualification squarely fall over the time when I was off the Audax wagon. Ah well!

Who's on Oasts and Coasts this weekend? Looking like a 40mph tailwind across Romney Marshes :|

I wouldn’t be bitterly disappointed but I hear you - hence the idea of the exe buzzard instead. Anything but the flatlands really...
Anyway let’s ride a 300 and a 400 first.
-
• #9288
Yeah don't do Flatlands. It sounds about as fun as sitting on a turbo trainer for 36 hours.
-
• #9289
I enjoyed Flatlands. Think it was because it was a bit more sociable than most of my 600s.
That's probably down to me not using it as a training ride for a change. -
• #9290
I kinda liked it in a strange way. Riding it again next month actually.
-
• #9291
I should probably tick it off one day regardless due to the proximity to London...
-
• #9292
So PBP officially filled through pre registrations only? Is that the first time it's happened?
-
• #9293
Gone from 6000 entrants last time to 7600 this year. First time it's filled up, so those single available spots are going to be rare.

Wow that's crazy ... I guess I can now try and register for LEL 2021 on 30th August ...
-
• #9295
Oh okay, so everything is gone then. I thought they'd have a quota of entries for pre-registration, and another one for actual registrations.
Well I guess I'm riding the Pendle then ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
• #9296
I just don't get the fuss of PBP.
-
• #9297
its French so instantly better IMO
-
• #9298
I think it's more about the atmosphere around it than the route itself, and it's an international event my favourite thing about LEL was meeting and riding with people from all over the world.
For me mainly it's just another tick on the way to Brevet 25000.
-
• #9299
Brevet 25000 is badge collecting madness.
-
• #9300
I'm going to pick it up one day. Much like all the other things, I don't want the badge but it's something to check off. I keep filling calendar with races though.
I'm not sure those dates are all that relevant, because if they let you qualify with 4x600 or 3x400, 1x600 then you're not actually likely to have the longer events running in the earlier date windows.
