Remember when I paid deposit for a Triton frame? It was delayed because of lead time on Spork 2.0.
I have no intention to do that kind of riding anytime soon. So I have decided to get an MTB instead of a road/audax bike. The money (in full) is already paid so I will be getting 'a bike' either ways.
I am an MTB n00b.
Should I just copy the geo of the new longshot Cotic Solaris Max in Medium (I am 170cm with 80cm inseam)?
Progressive Geo
140mm travel boost fork
148x12 Boost spacing
27.5 (because I am not that tall)
Clearance for 2.6" on 30mm-ish rims
3x bottle cage mounts and top tube mount for a bag (provision for offroad bikepacking)
Great question .. pretty much all of the usage will be London 'trails' .. Swinley, Bedgebury, Epping, Peaslake. I doubt I'll travel (fly, train) long distance with it, just a bit of offroad bikepacking. If I gain skills and go anywhere rowdier I can always just use a hire full-sus bike.
