I have a car Garmin that uses both mini USB (for power in the car) and micro USB (for data).
I think every other manufacturer stopped using mini about a decade before Garmin did.
They're still both pretty common standards. Better than Apple in that regard.

* ignoring the headphone jack. Kinda remarkable how that's survived.
