But yeah fuck the caad10/hollowgram/bb30 really
just use normal fucking tools like most other brands -
• #7079
I've read that sram simply refused to sell oem groups to other brands without the chainset essentially forcing them to use red chainset
Edit - thats only what I've read a few times online. not sure if its def true

I’m eyeing up hydraulic di2 for my Bowman, but everything seems to come with flat mount callipers and I need post mount. Am I looking in the wrong places? It is post mount not that common?
What’s the best solution? Buy gear set and post mount separately?
-
• #7081
Post is generally been phased out on road, can still get them though, Shimano are pretty interchangable. Hope RX4 are a slightly more boutique option also.

Can you use adapters to fit flat mount on post mount or is that like an inverse shim situation?
I have some adapters at home from an old Kinesis that I assume are for post mount calipers. -

Hope RX4
And very nice they are too, once properly bedded in.

Generally incredibly ugly (on the front especially) and don't tend to work with internal hose routing.

inverse shim situation?
Bingo.

It is possible, depending on your mounts - https://www.instagram.com/p/BqPNHyYhMiX/

You should be able to get the older version with post mount brakes with a hefty discount

Using a Sram pc1110 on the main bike because £11.. 900 miles and it’s at 75% with a little nudge on the checker, I was expecting more, even for £11!

Sound about right TBH, it's always varies on bicycle, condition and amount of riding before relubing the chain etc.

The GRX;
there are options for 1x and 2x chainsets, 10- or 11-speed cassettes, mechanical or electronic transmissions.
Finally, I don't want to spend too much money on going for 11 speed part.
In this context, interesting to note that Cannondale/eTap OEM builds were always specified with SRAM Red chainsets. Looked like SRAM insisted there be no mixed transmission configuration.
