I went to watch Ipswich at Brentford on Wednesday, and it was obvious they were already relegated even if that wasn't a reality until yesterday.
The fans (1,600 of them) were in quite good spirits, with "Que será, será, whatever will be will be, we're going to Shrewsbury" and "We're all going on a League One tour."
It's a shame they weren't so jovial 9-10 years ago when Magilton got sacked for 'only' finishing 8th.
Mick McCarthy must be feeling vindicated now as well, and rightly so - he got a huge amount of undeserved stick from the fans despite doing wonders at times - getting into the playoffs a few years ago masked a world of problems.
