From what I understand, customs union on its own simply doesn't work - you still need the backstop.

Trying to get a majority when all the options are shit for their own reasons is always going to be tough...I don't know what the right answer is, other than it has to include a people's vote to reject whichever croc of shite eventually gets the nod.
I fear we will go GE instead though. In which case this may never end. Still dont think TM is stupid enough to accept no deal, my fear is the eu forces it on us.
