EU referendum, brexit and the aftermath

The ultimate last resort of this indicative votes process is that MPs put legislation through the HoC that legally binds the government to follow its instructions. That cannot happen before April 12 though (because it also has to go through HoL and be signed by the Queen - not enough time) so we're at May's mercy now. She might try another go at MV4, hoping that hardcore leavers will vote for it out of fear that Brexit will be cancelled otherwise, or some people are saying that she's considering attaching a People's Vote to it, which would probably get it over the line.

But I think we're going to get a long extension.
