Verdigris on copper rivets etc.
I’ve seen photos of this and beeing deeply enthusiastic about everything patina, I’m kinda dissappointed that none of my own copper hardware gets this.
Have any of you seen verdigris on your denim clothes? What’s causing it and whats causing mine not to develop it?
Do you think some people ‘cheat’ and treat their stuff to achieve this? What would that be? -

Is it green?
It's copper oxide, isn't it?
Like the rooves of Copenhagen. -

Yes. I like the green. I want the green on my jeans. Yes, I’m a copenhagener.

Because i had 5 minutes while avoiding kids telly:
https://www.worldcoppersmith.com/copper-patina-guide/Obvs, try it on some shit jeans first?

I think it's linked to temp, humidity, and sulfur content in the air (air pollution - historic appears to be key for roof green)

Verdigris on copper rivets = the true mark of the achingly trendy vintage hipster. :)

I see you agree. Nice.

Thanks. There’s something with white vinegar there. Isn’t that what some people are using to reduce smell in their clothes? Maybe that’s something to try.

Never, ever wash denim and always store it in 19th century London.

Good man...

I think I am done with fancy denim. Every pair I’ve had goes in the crotch. Just noticed my black Ed 55 have a big hole and they’re only worn on weekends, no cycling. I might as well just buy topshop or whatever basic bitch black jeans.

TKMaxx and Dylon are your friends... I haven't paid RRP for a pair of jeans in over ten years...
-

Yeh I am big Tk maxx man never have much luck with jeans there though. I only buy them on sale if just annoys me that they are meant to be tough workwear and I have flimsy chinos that outlive them.
-
• #3272
Do you wash your jeans?
-
• #3273
To be fair I don’t think I’ve ever washed them in 2 years

<£20 H&M Skinny whatever fit so much better than any expensive pair I've ever bought, plus you can wash them without the 'fear'. I'm done with fancy jeans.
Never mind. Just squinted at the pics. I'm too fat. And blind.
