What's up with 90s MTB geo?
Looking at an 18" ST (for people 5'6 to 6'0 acc to the chart) - seems odd to go as low as 5'6 for a frame with 58.5cm ETT and 110mm stem.
Is there some sort of geo trickery going on, or were people just buying much more stretched out race geo frames back then?
Bike fit was a lot more road/cx influenced. As you add more front suspension, having a forward centre of gravity becomes more of a problem at full compression.
