Dizzy had very long fur on her hind quarters and has had the shits several times. It means donning workshop gloves and getting her in the bath with some unscented shampoo and the shower head and working it all out. It’s usually a two-man job, she doesn’t get too fighty but she just tries to gently crawl away. There’s no way I can use the hairdryer on her afterwards to it’s lots of towelling and brushing down and reassuring her before she settles down to a mammoth grooming session to sort herself out again. The shit doesn’t bother me any more tbh.
Luckily, being a shorthair, we don't have that problem with Buddy, but this was sort of half-in-half-out which was bit weird. I was just thankful as I thought it might be a massive worm at first, and even if it was just hair, better out than in I suppose.
