No I get that, and I understand where you're coming from. I'm just saying from a standpoint of actually trying to solve problems it's the worst proxy ever simply due to the way the process works. For me, that's a good reason not to have a GE. At best it doesn't solve the issue. At worst the issue of Brexit completely displaces everything else and the result will be coopted by brexiteers the same way the result of the last GE was by May.
So what I'm saying is - 2nd ref first to get clarity on what to do. GE next because screw the current parliament and their leaders.
That's my view on it at least!

My emphasis added. I am look at this from the standpoint of the electorate.
There has been literally NOTHING else on the table politically for the past 3 years. A change in leadership in the Tories for a GE I would hope would push for a change in leadership in Labour and that could shift their policy.
Corbyn vs A.N. Other Grey Suited Dickhead really is no different from the current situation.
I'm just going to throw my ballot paper in the sea. It will be just as effective there as in the ballot box.
