Yeah I hear you but all I need currently is a 10 speed rear (batteries and cables work for either right?) I’d hoped more people would have 10 speed parts laying about/ parts bin etc - just want to try out the frame while I save up for eTap...

• #3503
Nope. Due to their rarity, 6770 rear mechs are more expensive second hand than 6870.

How bizarre! Cheers, do you know if the cables and batteries work for both 10 and 11 speeds?
Cheers,

So long as you mean Ultegra 10s, not DuraAce 10s, yes.
-
• #3506
Yup Ultegra 10 is what I’m collecting - cheers!

Speaking of which, I have some 6770 levers that I bought on ebay for 50 quid inc post.
Anybody want em for that before I have to bung them back on there? -

I know, I was quite surprised when I tried to get a replacement 10 speed RD for @Cycliste's BMC. I ended up upgrading my TT bike to 11 speed and using the rear derailleur off that on the BMC, as it was no more expensive to do that than to buy another second-hand RD.
All the eTube non-7970 cables and batteries are interchangeable. All the 10 speed stuff can be used with 11 speed FDs and RDs.

Is it possible to charge di2 via dynamo?
I found this but it obviously doesn’t exist yet.

How many miles are you doing?!
-
• #3511
Currently 0!
I just thought it’d be cool..

I’ve kinda thought it would work using a passthru battery. I’ve charged the battery via a dynamo and charged my di2 from the same battery but the dynamo is not on my di2 bike so can’t do that end to end test.

Can you change gear when charging with di2? Haven't got my charger at work to try it out

Is it possible to charge di2 via dynamo?
Yes
That dynamo di2 thing was around years ago.

• #3516
Yes.

Yeah, both TABRs my battery went flat on or just before the highest point - Hoosier Pass. No changes of gear at all.
Pulled over and plugged USB cable into Igaro and then into the junction box and had shifting back instantly. Also just charged it off USB battery pack in top tube bag during TCR.

Just got one of the older D-Fly Bluetooth modules. I don’t need anything else right? Also, can I plug it in to the junction A (aka hide it) rather than plug it in to the rear derailleur?
-
• #3519
Yeah it'll work anywhere. I've got it between my battery and the internal junction box. Sits in my aluminium seat post, no issues with transmission to my Garmin.

Does anyone have an external battery, mount and charger they’d sell me?
Cheers in advance! -

00:32 an aftermarket e-shifting solution for any mechanical groupset $399

but.....whyyyy.
Been following that for a while now, and a lot of the early investors have yet to receive the product.

With the bluetooth thing, is it feasible to have one across multiple bikes and just plug it in when I want to update or change settings?
-
• #3524
On Di2? It’s probably quite a hassle. I have it and it’s great for switching screens on my wahoo. I would use the app if I was away on a trip, but for firmware etc I use my housemate’s pc laptop as it’s probably more stable.

Never knew that the charger could do that (mostly I guess, as I have no windows machine). ant+ works fine without the dongle I assume?
I was asking above on this page, just get 11 speed mechs and cassette and you're good to go
Edit: on the last page. NPF
