    It is imo.

    Some of the killings could be described as manslaughter I guess - iirc the first shots were following stones being thrown. The commanding officers also need to be held accountable for the part they played (as well as didn't play), as do the people who covered it up afterwards.

    My beef was with using the term execution. This country carries out extra-judicial killings/executions. As mentioned the Gibraltar killings / Death on the Rock / Operation Flavius - whatever you want to call it, being a prime eg of this. In that case you can debate the merits of killing terrorists vs arresting and prosecuting - both as policy and as action on the ground. Likewise the BOPE in Brazil.

    I don't think Bloody Sunday played out the same way at all.

    I also think that it's really odd to want to use misleading language for an event that had so much misinformation and took so long to obtain a clear picture of.
