Very depressing read.
I lived in Israel during the 80s and was involved in the Peace Now שלום עכשיו movement which was vibrant. The 2 state solution was accepted by main stream parties including the huge Labour movement. There were marches and gathering of thousands of people, both Israelis and Palestinians. Such a (Overton Window) shift to the right, that now the word Shalom has become negative.
I really wonder how this new nihilistic status quo happened leaving no hope for the future but continued oppression of the Palestinian people
