We do all the stylmartin TCX etc casual boots at my work - I’ve always found the stylmartins look nicer on the shelf than on your foot. The ankle protection is quite prominent, make it look like I’ve already broken a bone or two and I’m just trying to hold it together. Same applies to the Furygan Caprino/Melbourne. Could just be my feet though.
The TCX boots don’t seem to do this for me though, and there are some boots coming from John Doe in a month or so that I think will be well worth a look.

Falco avantour, had a pair for about 18momfhs now. The leather gets a quick clean and oiled every month, comfy enough for walk-in g about, stiff enough on the bike and have tested out the ankle protection few times on rocks, trees and getting myself stuck under the bike when I run out of talent, ankles not broke yet!
Waterproof Ness, yeah water gets in eventually, but was working out 6 - 10 a hours a day in sunny sunny glasgow, nothing keeps you dry in that.
The also come in red
(fwiw I'm sure I read somewhere that that ^ is what the red looks like compared to the very bright red a lot of photos show... but don't hold me to it!)
