  • Wouldn't want to navigate via a Fenix though. I've tried with my Forerunner 935 and it's no fun.

For anything under 12h where I don't need to navigate and just want to record stuff (GPS, HR, Power) I use my watch (Forerunner 935).

For anything else (>12h or need to navigate) I use my old Edge 705 that keeps on trucking (have replaced the battery myself once though). No water ingress problems despite being used on lots of long wet rides with USB power packs plugged in.

  • yeah I looked at the 705. Mike Hall rode round the world and tour divide with one.
just seems silly that in the last 11 years (!!!) nobody has invented a better GPS.

  • I dunno I've found following the little red line OK and my Fenix isn't even supposed to do that. The new 5+ navigation is supposed to be a leap ahead.

But yeah it (5+) doesn't do TBT IIRC.
