  • i tried watching the LeMans one they did also, but that is just made-for-america garbage - how you can take something as glorious and atmospheric as LeMans and produce such a terrible program................ netflix with sports-docs needs a lot of work IMHO

  • Giving this ago, and even though we know what happens in the race, it was quite interesting about the scenes behind the car and management. I really feel for Williams atm, it is a dog eat dog world in F1 and what i fear most is that this great F1 team will soon fold in the near future if they don't improve and have further investments...

  • Just finished watching the series: really strong throughout IMO. Totally agree re: Williams, I used to sit and watch F1 with my grandad in the early 90s, Williams were 'his' team and therefore mine! It's been really sad to see them fall so far.... fingers crossed for a huge reversal of fortunes soon

  • how does one watch f1 this year? no tv, therefore no sky, so it needs to be internet based.

  • can you get family packs on sky, like spotify? id' be happy to contribute spondoolies to to someone's sky sub if i can have an internet log in.

  • NowTV is sky's digital subscription service.

Think you need to subscribe to all sports but worth a look.

  • don't give fucking murdoch any of your hard earned
stream it from some hookey server in moldova

there will be some reddit thread listing good quality streams
    just like the footy allegedly

  • I read somewhere that the first race is on Sky One, which you get with your Now TV, and there might be more races shown on Sky One without the need for Sky F1

  • Or just find a stream for Sky F1, save yer pennies and stick one up that candlefaced cunt

edot : not actually sure if it show's live races in uk

  • Murdoch doesn't own Sky, it's now Comcast property.

  • i like that idea

  • not actually sure if it show's live races in uk

    It doesn't.

I'm on Morning Streams which does Acestreams of the F1 races.

  • £195 on Now TV

  • Why is the interviewer/host a mute?

  • technically you can use a vpn to vpn to an another EU state and subscribe to F1 TV PRO for a some $ a month instead of sky.
i say technically because this service is provided within some EU countries and im sure there some EU reg. that states other EU members cannot be barred based on location from services within other EU states - or some such, but it appears it is for UK nationals (because of SKY's contract banning all other services within the UK)

edit: heres the list for f1 tv pro
For 2019 -Cyprus, Denmark, Greece, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal and Sweden. They join the existing roster of countries where F1 TV Pro is available: Argentina, Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Barbados, Belgium, Bosnia, British Virgin Islands, Bulgaria, Caribbean Netherlands, Cayman Islands, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Curaçao, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, France, Germany, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Hungary, Jamaica, Luxembourg, Martinique, Mexico, Monaco, Montserrat, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Romania, Saint Barthélemy, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Martin, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Serbia, Saint Maarten, Slovenia, South Tyrol, Switzerland, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, Turks and Caicos Islands, Ukraine, United States Virgin Islands, Uruguay, USA and Venezuela.

  • There's the highlights show on Channel 4 if you don't mind not watching live. 2pm on Sunday for Melbourne. Looks like they'll be showing most, if not all of the race, judging by the length of the programme.

  • the C4 highlights show is going to be pants with the new 2019 SKY deal restrictions for it :
C4 restrictions imposed by Sky for the 2019 season:

    – A maximum of 50% of the C4 show runtime can feature on track coverage. That is, to show an hour of the race they need to fill another hour of pre-race coverage and post race analysis.

    – They are not allowed in the pen, all interviews will be supplied by Sky. Paddock interviews will also be limited.

    – No grid walks (apart from Silverstone)

    – Highlights show must not start until 3 hours after the race.

The 50% rule coupled with the significant Paddock restrictions is brutal and will mean lengthy pre and post race chat amongst the presenting team if they want reasonable race highlights. Clever move from Sky.

  • Bernie and Sky have fucked it up for everyone and I'm super pissed about it.
    Signed till 2024 as well.
I'm just hoping that Liberty Media will/can do something about it.
They are worried about a decline in viewers and this has guaranteed it in the UK.
As long as Bernie has got more cash for his ranch though.

  • Started watching the netflix series this week after 15+ years of not watching F1 and it's reinvigorated me. Great to have an overview of what I missed and perceived to be a boring formula. I'm planning on tuning it at 1am on Sunday morning to watch my first full GP since the days of V10's and (proper) ciggie sponsors (as opposed to MissionWinnow PMI).

  • I don't have a Netflix account, nor Sky - am I shit out of luck for F1 in 2019?
