  • I had no idea that she had written for Punisher, but then I can't find her name in any credits for it either. Weird.

  • She didn't, exactly, @ChainBreaker has the details right. She has been a close colleague of those who do, writing alongside them on related characters with overlapping stories.

So "a mean way to beat down on someone" is wrong. @ChainBreaker, even if you just read the bit of the thread that's pictured above, the guy lecturing her about the Punisher's back story clearly doesn't know it very well or he'd know who she is. He was given the rope to hang himself but also the space to think, do a quick check and not make himself look like a dick.

You both also seem to be missing the point she was making, which was a dig at the dumb shit bros like him have been saying about Brie Larson and Captain Marvel. It's a joke.

  • I’m not aware of this stuff. Just looked at it in isolation, which is a comic book writer expressing an opinion that she wished Punisher smiled more and somebody pointing out that he never smiles in the comics and that she doesn’t know what she’s talking about in a condescending way.

  • So much this.

She was also one of the key people in the 'women in refrigerators' movement.

This shouldn't make her untouchable but that thread is a classic example of mansplaining comics to girls and neckbeards thinking any girl who shows interest in comics or games is just pretending because they're attention seeking and want to the "cool nerdy girl" with adoring fans.
