  • to settle the oil level and test the repair.

Right right....not because it's gonna be crispy perfect tomorrow at all.

  • Okay maybe that too, bonkers weather for February.

  • Bolted everything back together and went for a ride in the sunshine today, rode without the lower fairings so I could inspect after getting home and no oil leaks. Awooga.

New Oberon clutch slave cylinder was good but not an immense improvement so pos more bleeding needed. Need to book the bike in to get the front rocker cover gasket changed (access to one bolt was too awkward) then might do some dyno time as interested in the curve.

Probably more a priority but need to soften the suspension settings from factory as my cable tie on the front stanchion was about 1.5" from bottoming out.

  • Anyone here owns a Suzuki GSR750?

I have a Leo Vince GP Pro Evo 2 Slip-On Exhaust (stainless steel / carbon) for sale. Actually paid £175 posted so would happily take that back:
    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163563266606

CSB: I went to see a few GSR750 before Christmas to replace my Bandit and got carried away & bought the exhaust ahead of the bike. I also have a LED tail light

  • I wondered how long it would be before my parents lost their shit after I left my Triumph Sprint at their house... two years is the answer. In my defence I did buy a house, got married and had a kid.

It was working before I left it there but I took no precautions of draining fluids etc. Brakes not seized when I wheeled it out for these shots today, anyone interested before fleabay? Happy to give more details, it’s been stored outside but under a hefty Oxford Storm cover.

    Apologies for sales spam.

  • Could you pm some brief details and a price please - looks good.

  • need to soften the suspension settings

Any specialists around you to tune that or you experimenting yourself?

  • Local garage does everything, so wouldn't surprise me. Will try adjustments and if unsatisfied will take it to a specialist.

Have been thinking about shortening the mufflers, not by much, although is butchering Arrows asking for trouble?

  • Fair do's I would have gone specialist on the last two bikes, and I know I really should in same way bike fit is worth it, but cost was prohibitively high and I wasn't riding spirited at the time. Now I would.

I've cut a couple of exhausts into shorties, the last being double barrel Laser set. It was a hassle because they were so well made. The riveting wasn't the issue, it was repacking it that got a bit chaotic. Saying that, I did it indoors so that added to stress. It's messy. If you have the space and time, why not.

  • Welded up a bigger sissy bar for my xv250.

Kinda kicked the arse out the length and have to lean the bike over to get it in the garage!

  • Tbh I don’t think you need to black out your number plate with that ike ;)

  • I'm going to guess you've never been sliding down the road with the bike following you! That rebar would definitely pose a health and safety risk.

  • If we were worried about ‘elf and safety we wouldn’t ride motorbikes eh?

  • I know, but being impaled by a customisation I made to my own bike is Darwin list stuff. :)

I am totally pipe and slipper brigade these days. Maybe I'm ready for an advanced rider course.

  • I’m with you on the sissy bar thing. Plenty of characters riding around here with them and no front brakes. Not sure beards and lumberjack shirts provide adequate protection.

  • Rebar is classic ‘whoops I’m impaled’ stuff, let alone with a sharp cog whipping around on the end!

  • Hi all,

Anyone after a free tank / filler cap grab handle?

Bought it for my Yamaha XSR700 but it does not fit. The AliExpress seller (RiderJacky) has refunded me in full-ish (lost £4 due to PayPal/currency fluctuation).

It would be better suited to bikes with a fuel cap located high up and flush.

    Photos attached!

  • What is it?

A motorbike version of one of these:

    ?

  • More like a passenger grab handle.

So the passenger can have one hand on the tank and one on the rear handle

  • When I was that size I sat on the filler cap and held onto the middle of the handlebars.

  • What boots are these? Buckle ones not the sporty ones

  • Stylmartin Continental.

No idea what they're like irl, but my Stylmartin Indians have been excellent so far, really well made and are my casual off-bike boots for the colder months.

  • The also come in red

(fwiw I'm sure I read somewhere that that ^ is what the red looks like compared to the very bright red a lot of photos show... but don't hold me to it!)

  • Thanks they look great in black, red ones might be a bit too ‘thriller’ for me though
