But it’s mainly been a cavernous death metal kinda day. Few bands have been pushing this sound lately and it’s really great to my ears. Blood Incantation dropped an amazing EP a few years ago called Starspawn (can’t wait for their next release, hopefully full length) but Burial Invocation have reallly taken up the mantle with Abiogenesis.

And for anyone who hates metal, listen to Heavy Dreamer by Vanishing Kids. One of the greatest albums I’ve heard in the last ten years. Like Beach House if they weren’t so wet and could fucking shred! The solo at the end of Reaper is so good.
