Because I never really wanted a full suspension bike until I saw this one. Then I test rode it, and had to have it.
If you're asking how I justified that, it has the perfect amount of travel, geometry I like, a compact suspension design that leaves lots of front triangle space, and I like the customer service you get when something is made by one basically one person in Scotland. I spent half a day riding with the builder, and I agree with pretty much all his thoughts on bicycle engineering and design.
It's also probably worked out a lot cheaper than an equivalently well-specced OTP bike, because I am a pro #buyer when it comes to mtb components. The only mass-produced bike that ticks my boxes is the new Giant Trance 29, and I'm pretty sure they ripped Adrian's design off...
Also steel is hawt shit, just look at it.
