Very much enjoyed reading this whole thread, especially as I'm imminently building myself my first mtb in the form of a Niner ROS 9. Are you still Norwich based? I saw you bought a house at some point, I only ask as I live in Watton, would be ace to meet up for a ride somewhen.

Where do you do most of your riding out of interest?
Yeh I found it on eBay and fell in love, hoping to get it built very soon! Got a rigid fork for it which I'm tempted to begin it's life with, probably do a thread when I get round to building it.

Pretty much the only options are Thetford, and (closer to Norwich) Mousehold, Ringland and assorted scrub and woodland. Nothing terribly exciting, and difficult to string together. Some better stuff up on the north coast but I don't know my way around up there!
There's a Facebook page called "Norwich MTB Syndicate" run by a friend of mine, probably a good place to start (the one called just "Norwich MTB" is full of misogynistic cunts and shit memes).

Yeh that’s kinda what I figured. I’d like to do peddars way, seems like an ideal xc MTB / gravel bike route, although I’ve heard of people doing it on road bikes but some of the sandy bits are probbaly a bit sketchy.

A thousand times yes. Hopefully I’m not working! Hopefully someone sticks it in the bikepacking thread, I follow that one, don’t really follow the ‘rides’ forum as obviously most isn’t relevant to me, living in the arse end of nowhere.
