Don't ask where the axle nut went.

Lost the wheel bit of my Surly Singleator last night, somewhere between Soho and TCR.
On the upside, my drivetrain now runs smoother than ever, with the added thrill of mid-spin chain drops!!!Ugh.

My new bike trailer is arriving today. So excited. No more trains for me.

I have a tensioner i used for about 1-2 months and no longer need, if you are stuck?

Took the day off and rode down to my parents in Surrey. Really makes you consider just fucking off to the country instead of living in London.

I can vouch that it's wicked, and really helps destress after the constant pushing and shoving in london, but the train commute in is hell (from Guildford).

I'm normally asleep when the train goes through Guildford.

Would love to do that. I rarely get a seat which is so annoying considering its £325 a month for the ticket! Where are you coming in from?

Home countiez is all about the season ticket. £&£&£&£

Yea mate, I have a change so it's a tad more than the Guildford-Waterloo ticket. Still cheaper than trying to rent a place in london for the same size house we get out here, which is madness when you think about it.

But I miss being able to cycle to work. I'm getting pretty fat now that I don't have 20km a day to cycle.

couple of gangs of dickheads on Q1 and Surrey Canal Path this evening, blocking people and threatening to knock people off. does the warm weather bring them out or something?
This is concerning. Unusally for me I didn’t ride there last friday, was at a comedy thing with my lad. Esp when you say a couple of gangs...
Do you feel they were trying to rob stuff or just looking for aggro?

hey thanks... always useful! I’m going to cannibalize the other bike for now.
Let me know what/when/£££s? Cheers... -

Yesterday, a group of us were overtaken by a hatchback and immediately they turned off left in front of us. Was quite funny that a fella in a people carrier then hollered out to us the irony of it being a driving instructor.

yeah, not from UK so i didn't know the prices. My train commute is less (about 30km with the bike, train ride is about 30 minutes) and afaik price is 1.5k euros for a year. And I say afaik because my employer pays 80% and the government the rest. So cycling to work only costs me moneyz :D Wouldn't want to live where I work though, so happy with the commute... When we bought the current house, it had to be central between my work and my girlfriend's tho/have a good connection. Wouldn't mind living even deeper in the countryside, but then the commute would kill me.

didn't think too much of it to begin with but was riding behind another guy who signalled me to stay back behind the first group (who were on bikes), he said he saw them push someone before.
second group were hanging around the canal path and just "pretended" to go for me, tbh don't think they would have said anything if I wasn't in lycra and on my nice bike.

Can't help but feel a bit of sympathy for bernie's response after being attacked by a cunt in a car

"The defendant reached inside, took the keys and threw them into a nearby overgrown front garden. They could not be found."
Strong.

Was gonna be a bit late this morning, whipped out the track pump and put the tyres up to 60PSI rather than the 20 they were at previously.
Comfort well and truly sacrificed but the bike basically pedaled itself.
