Both
I started with a rear camera only and got annoyed when it'd miss plates on angles or shiny headlights, etc.

Managed to avoid being rear ended by a taxi this evening while stopped at the front of an ASL.
Luckily I was looking behind after passing a Porsche driver on his phone so saw the taxi coming.
I caught it on cam but the registration and taxi number aren't the clearest.
I think I can just about make things out but would be interested if people on here have any thoughts or ways to check a taxi id number.Pics are -https://flic.kr/s/aHskSwGkY9

So that clustercunt of a BMW driver. 3 months on and the police are still trying to ascertain who was driving.
Just charge the owner.
Christ.

Young lass just flew past me and little human on the Brompton, I had moved out as drivers always try and push past on this section, small blind bridge with a turn, I can see oncoming, in a car you can see enough to overtake. Floored in past under a meter, with a car oncoming. Pulls straight into her work so rude not to just say hi and raise awareness. After she claimed I didn’t pay road tax I knew we were not going to get anywhere, my anger amounted to call her princess and I didn’t swear once! - an improvement, especially when I have little human on board!

Simplest reply to that is "Yes I do, I just chose not to drive today"
Rather than the usual no such thing as road tax etc etc. People are too ignorant to accept being corrected -

Agreed, I’m very good at getting pedantic about things. Did let her know that I do emissions tax on our vehicle of course!

One of many falsehoods surrounding cycling by gamonheads that if you ride a bike it's because you can't/don't drive.
They just can't comprehend that you would willingly cycle and god forbid actually enjoy it. You must just be poor or stupid instead because they presume everyone must be as lazy and as selfish as them to drive absolutely everywhere.
Last person that shouted that at me also said that all cyclists are arrogant and think they own the road, not at all spotting the irony of that coming from a man demanding I get out of HIS way. -

Agreed, I once was told I should save up to buy a car by a young muppet in a beat up polo, my bike was certainly worth more than his car 😂

Interesting fact: A cyclist is more likely to be a driver (hold a driving licence) than a random picked off the street...

FFS.
this is basically my worse nightmare whenever i upload anything to roadsafe.

Fucking idiot cops.
Some cunt this morning on her phone, holding a credit card and presumably typing her CC number into the phone while driving down Uxbridge Road. I hoped she rear-ended the van that pulled out but alas no. I did get to yell at her to put the fucking phone down though.

Hopefully insurance companies will reduce premiums if people have inward facing cameras as well soon*. And hopefully in the future the car itself will detect people on their phones. Something needs to be done anyway.
I did read recently that overall road deaths are declining but deaths of pedestrians, and presumably cyclists, is on the rise. In part put down to 'distractions' but also a rise in the use of 4x4s and the likes.*if they don't already.

Made it clear I wasn't moving from primary past one of Wightman Road's central islands, 'forcing' a driver to overtake me on the wrong side of it. They repeated the trick to pass another cyclist at the very next one. A minute later when I caught up to him in the inevitable queue of traffic they'd managed to stop bang across the middle of the crossing by Harringay station.
I generally can't be arsed roadsafe-ing the odd incident if it doesn't cause me any danger but thought this was worth an exception. Got to work, discovered I hadn't started the front camera.
Also annoyed about the other footage I didn't get. Slowed down approaching a zebra on Guilford St to let a woman cross, and started speeding up as she was out of the way. Only when she looked back over her shoulder did I spot the world's smallest dachsund bimbling across about 3m behind her, no lead. The look on her face suggested she didn't appreciate my comment that it should be wearing hi-vis, but the poor thing is gonna get squashed sooner or later.

Realised I'd have dog on the rear camera. It appeared much smaller when isolated in the middle of a crossing.
Imagine the headlines if I'd hit the fucking thing.

Hi viz and a tiny helmet, or at least be on a lead crossing roads unless it's a master of walking to heel.

overtake me on the wrong side
Pretty standard behaviour in my experience, looking forward to finding out what kind of replacement cuntery those drivers come up with once the islands are removed.

why hasnt it got a flag?!
There are very few useful cycle lanes where I live, mostly they are shared user paths running into housing estates, they are great, but not for me. Yesterday lunchtime I was enjoying a 30 miler and for a mile long stretch of road near the sea front (I live in a seaside town) I was able to use a proper cycle lane. Ahead the traffic stopped as a van was reversing into one of the local hotels, I slowed but continued to ride as I passed the stationary cars (to my right)... until, the driver of an old VW camper decided that not only did they need all the road, they needed all the cycle lane too, so crossing the solid white line between road and me they got all close and snuggly. I gave the side of the van a few hefty whacks with my fist and shouted to get out of the cycle lane, this slowed the progress slightly but still reduced my riding space to about a foot (I looked at the video) before the driver must have finally seen me and swerved sharp right... so much so that they crossed the centre white lines with the offside front wheel.
I always have a front camera on the go so all of this was captured in glorious colour and a four minute excerpt was this morning sent to Avon and Somerset Police... not that I am expecting much as last time I was close passed on a blind left hand corner by an overtaking Range Rover, I was informed that the driver had no other option as there was nowhere else to pass! Well true, other than the 200 yard long straight road I had just ridden down or the huge bridge over the motorway about a minutes ride ahead (both of which were shown in my 4 minute video).
I await with whatever the opposite of baited breath is... overwhelming indifference perhaps.
