If you are on good terms with your LBS you can go and ask if they have any of those rear mudguard chainstay clips. I managed to get a free one from my LBS from their workshop box of spares by asking specifically for that part, and asking nicely, obvs.

If it's a steel fork you could insert a star-fangled nut at the bottom and use an M5 as a daruma bolt of sorts. As a spacer I used a cork.

That's a really good idea. I'll give it a go. Also, thanks for the LBS suggestions; that'll be Plan B. Not entirely sure on 'good terms', as I think I usually offend them with my 'functional' offerings!

If you need some kind of doohickey your answer is almost always on SJS
Glad to hear this is known, we go for all the spares and odd bits and bobs to keep people going / make stuff work!

Installed my 3rd flap on the beater last night.
Should stop the side spray a bit and keep my drive train a bit cleaner (yes i need to clean it now).

Does this really work?

Want those rival cranks

I have two pairs in silver...

I've found it helps, you can see where the mudguard ends, and that's where the spray came out.

Cheers, SJS was the first place I looked but I missed the last one -that could be useful!
Expensive but works well:

Any idea when you will have the black GB stainless guards online?
-
• #4090
GB is selling a couple models online already on their own site, so hopefully UK availability soon.

Who was after spares for Radial guards?

‘Twas me
Although in the end I emailed radial and they sorted me out. If no one else needs them more immediately I’ll take them for future repairs :-)
Assuming you are looking to get rid of them that is!

You could have the full guards as spares if you want though I suspect if you’re anything like me, you have too much stuff and too little space already

These would take some Schwalbe G One Speed 30mms on 17/18 internal width right?
-
• #4096
I have the 45mm city ones with G One Speed on Hunt Wheels ~20mm internal. I'd not want to have a narrower guard.
-
• #4097
Okay I might get those then, thank you. At that price there's also the GB black stainless ones but I'm unsure whether I prefer the look of those or not.

the pdws are faff free. though i think it is fine to run 35s under them
-
• #4099
What tyre - guard difference should I be looking for for knobby tyres? ~10mm for slick tyres so I'm assuming 15mm plus? For use in claggy, wet UK

I’d like to use a quick-release system on the rear guard of a set of Bluemels for ease of use with track ends/getting the wheel out. Are there any views on whether the ASR doo-hickey that comes with the Bluemels front guard is up to the job (would purchase a spare set of stays to run them front and rear), or would the Secu Clips they make for the Chromoplastics be a better option?
