  • So. Ponchos/ total cover waterproofs for casual riding/ commuting on my ‘gentleman’s bike’
    What’s the best option?

  • I use a Carradice cape, made of waxed cotton. It’s ok when well-proofed, but not totally waterproof after sustained downpours over 30mins ish. Am still hoping on making a better one. A lot of people are nice about The Peoples’ Poncho, I’ve never tried it. From the looks of it, I prefer the cut of Carradice, covers the bars (means lights not on bars are preferable though).

    I'm intrigued by the PP. Should work well with my lovely porteur bike.
    (which is slowly bringing back my almost completely lost mojo).
    If anyone sees me reverse commuting my way down to KCH- say hi- I'm quite friendly most of the time.
