The real hard core challenge is super randonneur round the year.
I think it has only been done once - can't remember who by. Not even Steve Abraham has done it. -

That was Andy Curran in 2016 http://www.aukweb.net/results/archive/2016/listride/?Rider=3537

600+ right?
Thinking of including the Fort William 1000 and PBP into my Hyper SR
-
• #8880
Couple of people did Hyper with four 1000ks last year!
-
• #8881
What's that? An SR series every month?
If I didn't have other events on I could do that but I found my normal RRtY quite tricky to schedule in between training, TTs, ultra races, etc. Without any other cycling, no probs.
-
• #8882
PBP year makes it easy since you -have- to do a 600 and PBP anyway.
Actually, what did i do last PBP year?
Ha! I'd almost done it. PBP, 600 qualifier, 24hr TT (7pts) :) -
• #8883
Imagine if I got points for ultras? TABR is like 10 Hypers in a row...
-
• #8884
Yes, SR every month.
I think the guy who did it took a year off work -
• #8885
No points for ultras cos they're races.
but TAW, NC4000, Japanese oddysey, indypac etc aren't races so maybe could get points for them... -
• #8886
Pissweak. ;)
The challenge with the RRtY isn't the events, it's fitting regular events around the rest of your life (which in my case is just more cycling but that's another matter).
-
• #8887
No points for ultras cos they're races.
Really? No way. /sarcasm
The National 24hr TT gets points though, so their own rules are a bit iffy.

I rode Wessex last year. 3 of us rode it fixed.
I had to settle for HB perm though. Was gonna calendar and perm them all this year, but meh.
There’s at least a couple of dozen idiots that do a fixed SR every year I guess.
Shaun had such a good season. I came second with 178 by nearly 300points!

I'm aiming for a AAA Ultra Rando
Not sure if this is a thing but I'm making it one.
AAA events at 200, 300, 400, 600 and 1000
-
• #8890
AAA Hyper SR was the next thing on my list.
-
• #8891
What's that? 5x 1000?
-
• #8892
No, just 4x600 again but all the 600s are AAA events.
I'm not doing it this year because I've already done the AAA 600s that are on so I'm using different events. -
• #8893
Oh I see.
I'm planning on doing:
AAA 200 | Mr Pickwick's March Madness
AAA 300 | Bill's Easton Connection
AAA 400 | TINAT
AAA 600 | Bryan Chapman Memorial Classic
AAA 1000 | West Coast, Highlands and Inner Hebrides -
• #8894
Did you enter PBP?
-
• #8895
@Señor_Bear
I'm booked in for Bill's Easton Connection, should be a challenge on my Bob Jackson vigorelli. -
• #8896
Nope. No interest in riding around the crappest bits of France.
Doing another Cent Cols next year though.
-
• #8897
AAA 1000 | West Coast, Highlands and Inner Hebrides
Is that running this year, or DIY?
-
• #8898
Perm
-
• #8899
Kill or cure: just entered the Dean and the TINAT 400.
The Dean will be my first audax for a year and longest ride for 2 years, since indypac 2017. -

Missed the boat on the Mad March thingie. Oh well.
