38c at a push with the stock fork. 2018 fork onwards might have better clearance than mine though.

Thanks a lot for the info! Do you mind sending the link to the thread?
I also just came across this thread:
https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/317118/?offset=25It seems that @Quincy managed to fit in 1.75" tyres with mudguards. 1.75 is very impressive... Though 2016 model has a little bit longer wheelbase than 2018 model
edit: it was actually 1.5" and 1.75" (front and rear). Link:

That is correct - very happy aside from the GKs puncturing a few times recently!

My 700c gravel kings sucked too
It seemed that the 700c version isn't a popular option, which differs quite a lots from my 48mm 650b Gravel King.
So far, it has 3,500km and counting, the rear is now starting to show wear, and only had one slow puncture, I was quite happy with the grip both on and off road (latter admittedly in the summer), however the Grand Bois Hetres last way longer than the GK (managed over 10,000km on the same tyres).
Lastly, the 38mm 650b gravel king while grippy, felt weird and stiff compare to the compass loup loup (and the compass are heavier).

Do any businesses other than Canyon sell ‘off the shelf’ good value 650b road bikes? Sadly Canyon only have 650b on high spec builds.
Asking for a small rider..

I had 650b ones so did jambon, we agreed they were crap

I've gone through a few sets so far. First was before they were tubeless. I felt like tubed was better and less skittish.
Have to agree with ed though. They're much better in 700 guise. -

Nice, good to know there's a non-retro, affordable 650b rim bake option out there. That along with the pack rat fork might be the kicker to convert my road bike to v brakes.

Finally fitted mudguards and took delivery of my Rando bag.
Pretty much finished.

So many p**ctures...
I gave up and went back to Durano Plus for the peace of mind. Nothing like as plush though. -

Not sure where to post this, but thought you lot might know...Want to use the 650b wheels from my Pinnacle Iroko 2 (2016) on gravel bike, gonna need some thru axle adapters, but can't find the hubs listed anywhere. Anyone either know what they are, or can recommend a 'universal' adapter kit?

Can someone please advise me which is the best (lightest/fastest) 650b wheelset that can be had for £250ish?
Edit: QR front and rear - shimano 11speed - 6 bolt disc

£13 WTB KOM i21 rims from Planet X and whatever hubs you want.
Or I think @DisappointingBob is selling some barely-used wider KOMs on Hope Hubs.

Thanks for the advice, I'm a big fan of those hubs.
Can someone please advise how much a wheel build normally costs - or and spokes I seen you can get 72 for £30.

I am currently riding these: https://www.merlincycles.com/pro-build-chosen-hub-alex-volar-trail-wheels-275-82074.html
There are most probably lighter ones but these are alright in terms of weight, bomb proof, run great tubeless and like Hunt wheels they can be adapted to QR or thru axles. -

Cheers what size Rando bag? The large one?
-
• #2074
Thanks team,
I looks like the novatec & wtb would be ideal.
@Saffronspokes it's the small. Still pretty big

Thanks - any chance of a pic of the Rando bag magnetic mounting plate on the BLB rack? Looks like there'd be 4cm of overhang on both sides....
I am having the same question. Does any one know somebody owning Genesis Equilibrium and a set of 650b wheels?
