  • Those who have red etap, with shifting I know it's been said it's maybe not as crisp as shimano.
    But what's it like when you press the button to shift, I take it that the delay in shifting is in the millisecond range, as in a virtually imperceptible delay?

  • About 3 seconds later it shifts having made the sound of a chain being dragged mercilessly across a cassette since you pressed the button.

  • I don’t think it’s any particular delay, I think it’s just the speed of movement of the dérailleurs.
    Also compared to the thunk of SRAM mechanical double tap, it doesn’t sound as affirmative, so probably why people say it’s slower.

    I currently run with shimano chain and cassette because red cassettes are silly money.

  • you click, it shifts, whole process probably takes like half a second.
