I used to have an M2 with Voigtlander 50 1.5 and 35 2.5 but film development just got a bit too much hassle. Still miss it though.

Deep into 'all the gear no idea' territory but snapped up one of these for a bit of a bargain (imo, for what it is). Took a gamble as Ive never used a rangefinder but enjoying it already for the few frames I made today

Amazing! Do you not have yours anymore? Any tips on using it? Def want to get some 3200. Basically grainless with negs that big...
Do they made slide film in 120? 6x9 slide negs would be amazing

I just had a shot for a couple of days. I'm actually in Texas at the moment, I'm going to look in a second hand camera store for one today! Slide is widely available in 120.

Have been there couple months ago, market for that type of camera seems like sacrificing one for another kind of choice. (viewfinder, lens, portability,...) Unless you want to spend on the RX1R of the Q.

Not really a fan of the rendering of Sony which would require too much work in post, where as the Q does it all straight out the box, at least more than the Sony. (is there a thing such as free time with toddlers?)

But then, the Q has a 28mm where the RX1R has a 35mm, where I find the 28 a bit too wide for general use. Have had the Canon 28 f1.8 before my Sigma 35 F1.4 and prefer that for documenting life in general.

Panasonic S1 looks interesting, but totally different class of product.

Didn't expect this at all and was quite irritated that the numbers were easily readable last night, but old Canon lenses glow in UV! #csb

Oh man I had the automatic version of that camera, it was basically a huge point and shoot. I shot some slide MF a while back.

Ended up selling the camera as I felt it some what limiting (plus I couldn't always trust the AF).

Oh and for the first time in my life I'm seriously considering picking up a Leica. I'd always toyed with the idea but it had always been a sort of pipe dream ever since seeing Winogrands M4.

I'm thinking an M6 plus probably a voigtlander M series to get me started - 35 14 nokton.

Yup, I had that combo a while back. The nokton is pretty nice, a bit soft wide open but nice rendering.

To be honest I'm not sure how often I'd be shooting that wide open - 1.4 sounds great in theory.

There is now a Chinese m-mount 35mm f2 lens that's supposed to be quite good.

For what it's worth the VC Colour Skopar 35/2.5 is a very good lens. I had both the 1.4 and the 2.5 and enjoyed them both. Highly recommend !

Also Red Dot in London sell VC gear if you're in the neighbourhood and want to test stuff out.

The 35/2.5 is a lovely compact size.

Agreed, lives happily on my A6000.

I do so frequently. However, I make no claim to my photos being any good.
