If you are interested in second hand I may be tempted to part with my NAD 3020V2 new model which has MM.
That NAD 1 does look beautiful though... if you can find it here. -

I got the SL-10 fixed. Had a little tester at the guru's place. with a £40 cart it sounds great - especially through the huge B&O jobbies.
Only problem is the cable is not a normal fig 8 connector (unlike almost every other SL10) as it is an export version. the pins are a couple of mm wider.
balls. i now can't get a hold of the people i bought it from to get the cable off them if they didn't throw it out.
lucky it can be connected up via 12v dc (you could play it in the car!), so all is not lost. the socket is neg inside, so i wonder how many have been blown up with people trying a laptop charger...

Can you send it back? As it’s an AV amp it’s likely to be soldered to the PCB. Probably quite challenging to impossible. Certainly not cost effective. Pretty hard to see how it happened though unless it was shipped with not enough packaging.
You could take the case off and check if the terminal is soldered to the board (irreparable) or to a wire (repairable)

I had a listen to the NAD and the Yamaha over the weekend and walked out with the NAD. Just looks so much better and really do not need much more for now.

Ohhh the NAD1?

• #5740
i have just bought one of these. my wife's uncle used to work for them and we were chatting the other weekend. i then talked myself into it, as it met the low box count and shallow depth requirements.
maybe a bit impulsive, but i have never had a valve integrated. has a phono stage too, to help with the man maths...

Not hifi - but for 1 grand complete, I can't find other solutions, when Spotify is the only source we are playing - and I want rich stereo sound at low levels.
