I think that's the idea, it wasn't the case for me, the lights were visible but not the plate. I wasn't too bothered tbh, but it sounds like if you can't reverse, that's a non starter.

I haven’t tried the I3 but have been driving a 330e for the last 18 months, originally motivated by the dirt cheap company car tax but electric is so much nicer around town I wouldn’t go back now. Since my employers put charge points in I’ve been getting 74mpg average (commute is Reading-East Finchley via either A40/North Circ or M25 depending on traffic).
With the cost increase over a diesel 3 series I’m not sure the numbers add up yet if you’re buying/leasing but if you generally do local miles with the odd longer trip it might be worth considering.

Finally concluded our 4 month 'what car' saga

I might just get a trailer board - they aren't expensive. Driving to Scotland with it in May so want to be reasonably legit.
And the reversing sensor thing...

Even 50ltr will be on ALL THE TIME for stuff like shot blasting or painting. If you can get belt driven and 100 litre cheapish do that. Far less far less often...

Yeah I thought this, I need to see what space I can afford to store it and go from there.
The other problem is my garage is only on a 13A supply which basically rules out belt driven compressors as they seem to need 16A.
SGS have 100ltr 14.6CFM 3hp that would suit for about £240

Why is everything (ie lighting boards) 7 pin electrics when my car has 13 pin?
I've got an adaptor but it's a right pain to get it in / out of the socket.

13 pin is caravan stuff isn't it? did you install the electrics or buy with it?

Not necessarily. I've got a 150l SIP belt-driven compressor at my workshop and a 100l Clarke one at home. Both 3hp, both work fine off a 13a supply.

Im just going off experience with my garage and anything 16A rated - I can’t run anything 16A for more than a few minutes without tripping the garage circuit breaker

Is that a golf with a different body?
Leased / Used / New?

Ibiza, so more of a Polo than Golf. Bigger boot but smaller overall package for parking in town, just means the rear seats are a bit small, especially when I'm driving. Liked the Leon but it was a bit big.
Bought used with Ca$h money (£500 off and a tank of fuel!)

I have a crack in the windscreen. I's been there for some time doing nothing, but suddenly driving through a snowstorm it grew by about 15-20 cm. It's running along the bottom edge still well out of main field of view.
I'm in the netherlands for the next 3 months. it cost 700 euro to change here or 476, when I'm back in denmark.
How do I determine whether I can wait or if I should change it now?

100l and on a 13a plug. Just chugs along.

That's quite pricey, isn't it covered by insurance?

Strangely all the belt driven ones that look similar to that i could find were all 16A rated.
Do you know where yours came from?

Ours was oem, but it's identical to this..

In a cold uninsulated prefab concrete garage that would break a 13amp fuse...
Also noise, it can annoy neighbours.

• #46496
If it is 16amp, what plug does it have?

Where’s it located on the windscreen? Passenger or driver side? I have an approx. 40 cm long crack on the passenger side and I just passed MOT
One of these parked around the corner from me, have thought about putting a note on his windscreen so many times offering to buy, think he owns the GTO next to it as well. Proper droooool
