    Anyway.

    I remember reading somewhere that it's generally better to engage with local news because there's a chance that you can take action on it - national / international tends to be ALL BAD and there's nothing you can do, so you end up feeling powerless and depressed.

  • Local news is as bad. Everything's closing and falling apart (care homes, local police station gone, rubbish collection, roads).
    Ealing (where I live) has lost in excess of 60% of its govt funding since the Tories came apparently - I can't imagine action being taken on much when they're in a funding emergency.
