Both. Get a lightweight Tubus or equivalent and set a big saddle bag on it.

That’s what I’d do if I hadn’t already bought a carradry sqr

Any of you Monsteur folks order a Ribble Adventure 725 or thinking of?
-
• #1955
There's talk in the gravel thread that someone may have received one of theses elusive bicycles.

So nice.

The CGR or the Adventure? Keen on the Monsteurness of the Adventure as it'll be a mirror of my current bike, just more modern and better fit
-
• #1959
Ah, sorry, CGR not Adventure. Must read carefully next time.

Part of me wants to go for that, but I know the kind of riding I do now is based solely on whether my knee can handle it or not, so the Adventure seems more apt.
Much tempting though -

I was looking at getting a Swift but stock is not great for my size. Now looking at Soma, Bombtrack, Salsa and Surly.
Anyone have any experience of them, just thinking of getting some more designed to be a Monster rather than my MTB turned into as the top tube is a little long maybe?!

There's some general chat on the adventure too I think, inc their mystery loop bars.
I want one but can't fit -

Or afford

Saw some chat that the adventure model was originally designed for drop bars (a la Genesis Vagabond), and as such it's got pretty short reach when built up with those loop bars.
Also, suggestions that the bars will be available separately (though given their current supply issues, I'd not hold my breath). -

Which Ribble are you talking about the CGR? Really wanting more tyre clearance and also the front fork to be able to take a rack etc.
Plus thinking a lower BB with help with keep the bike geo in sync with the saddle and stem height.
Looked at Brother but out of stock.

I can’t believe that 2.0s are doable in the Kepler frameset. I tried 1.95” and it was damn close.

Looks like the front fork is the carbon version so does that give a little more clearance or are you talking about a chainstay's where clearance was tight..
I am wondering if I am looking at this differently and could shrink my bike No. down, I could get rid of my CAAD12 and Charge SS get a different frame and combine the best bits on that. Was looking on instagram (always a bad idea) and saw Bowman/Mason/Etc bikes that are 4 season bike that could be raced..
Maybe the SOMA Wolverine is my destiny..

Saw a nice Giant hanging around at the Coppi cafe in Rotterdam.

Real nice fork!

Fantastically heavy, honestly you'd think they were cast

You’re telling me they’re not?

I have a Marin Palisades that I'll be moving on soon.
I originally got it from @stedlocks for a bargain price and have since added some drops etc.
The frame is on the larger side.
I'll get proper photos together but was wondering if there was any interest here first. Here's a couple of stock shot to get the idea.

• #1974
That is really nicely done!
Edit: just seen these are stock shots and the second one is less perfect..

Apologies.
I was editing the post as you replied.
Thinking saddle bag or rear rack......
