  • What you might not see from the photos is the crystal, which is perfectly domed to really finish off the watch nicely. It catches some really pleasing reflections.

  • @Stonehedge I really like that and sub £200 with a nice pouch is top. Looks great - cheers

  • Just put it on the strap that came with it. Wrist shot.

I'd do a lume shot too but I think that'd be OTT.

  • This is the current proposed Model 2

What do you think proposed dollar will be? I was toying with that dual compressor internal bezel ‘kit’ the guy in France hawks for some months now.

  • The aim is for < £200 but the price hasn't been confirmed yet.

I really like the movement in the model 1 but part of me really wants to see a manual wind movement in the next one.

  • Finally got round to sorting out my watch box with a couple of the Wolf stackable ones. Seem decent for the price, I really wanted something a bit more premium in real leather but the price for that seemed pretty outrageous. The Wolf one looks considerably nicer than the cheapo Amazon one I had previously and I can use the bottom layer for various ones that don't really get worn

  • I would stick that on the credit card in a heartbeat.

  • Ooh, that is rather handsome; I wasn't all that taken with the looks of the model one, but that's bang on.

  • Same. Id like a comp but I'm not flush at the minute. Or ever.

  • I don’t know what the margin on Rolex watches are - anyone?

Movement were spending around $30 per sale and think they were shifting 30-40k units per month

  • Nice selection dude, worth thinking about security if you haven’t already...

After a neighbour was recently burgled I bought a vintage safe large enough to hold one of my wolf boxes, I got twitchy that I was making it too easy for an opportunist. It’s in plain sight so I actually use it regularly.

  • Yes, I've had a bit of a ponder but haven't really decided what to do. They're all insured, there's nothing that expensive and there's nothing too sentimental there but obviously best to try and avoid temptation. There's nowhere that convenient for a safe though and I know that if it's somewhere awkward like under the stairs I won't use it.

  • The Pepsi turtle (not the PADI one) is worth a look for less than half the price - similar vibes, but a more retro cushion case than the Marinemaster 300 style.

SRP779 is the reference - about £300 on amazon but you can probably find it cheaper.

  • Got to say I’m not a numeral fan but that’s a great dial and hand combo. What’s the Cordura strap?

    ta will have a look

  • Wow, bargain. Ta

Edit: ordered too, going to try this on my Timefactors Everest.

  • Now I found a very special place where to hide them. Not box, though :(

  • Speaking of straps. I like perlon ones so bought one of these:

turns out it's basically child sized. I don't have particularly large wrists and there's about 1cm of strap left past the buckle when done up.

  • Ery Time. 🤣

  • I love that they've made the hands blocky. Only thing I don't like about my Model One is the skeletal hands, makes it very hard to read at night with no glasses on. I love the internal bezel too. Also an instabuy when this is up.

  • Is this based on personal experience? The lume on those skeleton hands is so bright bits one of the most legible watches I have owned!

  • The lume itself is great, but the numbers are solid, and so much more visible in total darkness than the skeleton arms are. I can USUALLY see roughly where the hour hand is but not always. It's a shame, it'd be my 90% wear otherwise.
