Dyson DC08. Bought for under £200 brand new in 2003, still going strong, never had it serviced, never gone wrong, I wash the filters myself every couple of years.
I remember moving in with the gf and her cleaner leaving a note saying "New hoover is amazing. Thank you!"
Won't buy another one though as Dyson has proven himself to be a massive Brexitknobcock.
