  • I'll just keep saying this - it's gorgeous!

  • Does your dad ride on a Flite? Ledge!

  • No I do. I think if he could choose he would go for a Rolls. But we will see when he gets the bike. I wanted something like a WTB or something comfy

  • I am just awaiting tyres. Asked to cancel the order for Double fighters as I found Race Kings 2.0" cheaper and they are only 616g.

  • I had a chance to finish my new rando rack as well. I don't fancy internal cable routing so I found some otherwise useless guides that will work good for this.

  • Liking that wishbone/yoke assembly. Not seen it done that way before but looks neat. How was it to fit up?

  • Thanks. Piss easy tbh.
Squeeze tube and then hole saw.

  • I got the Race Kings. Lovely tyres and at £32 for two tyres and four inner tubes it will s definitely the right decision.

  • Folding, wire bead or some of the fancy options?

  • bargz. where from?

  • My disc tab on the SSCX doesn't work. I thought I could get away with a 140mm rotor but it doesn't work. The caliper touches the disc brake tab. 160mm won't work because of the seat stays so it looks like I need to redo the whole thing. I will probably do something like I did for my dad's surly as that works fine. But it does mean sacrificing the clean wish bone. Ohh wel...

  • Great tire specially at that price.

Only time i really feel slow on them is when you can hear the headwind dragging on all the knobs and hairs..

  • You could lower the bottom/front bolt on the caliper a good 4 or 5, that would also bring it forward a bit. As a result, the caliper would both move forward as rotate anti-clockwise giving you a lot more room between the caliper and seat stay.

That does mean you need a redesigned disc tab.

Edit: I only just now got what you meant by "The caliper touches the disc brake tab". Never mind.

  • I will look at it in the weekend. It might be fixable

  • I think I forgot to share a picture of the Giant rando frame I gave my friend.
We had it painted at Aurum Finishing and wheels are built by Stayer.
The rest is 5800 groupset with DA cranks.
