I changed my mind. I’m back in.
See you at Nero!

So I checked and I can't find my old Topeak saddle bag anymore, but you know what, I'll use my Apidura instead. It's a bit big, but on the plus side it won't be an issue to carry all kinds of stuff that might be needed with it (and it can be rolled up when not full, which it certainly won't be). So thanks for your offer, but I think I'll be alright! :)
Any suggestions on what could be useful to take with, apart from tools / spares / food / possibly extra layers of course?

Anyone else riding out? In two minds. I'm probably closest to the start in Kingston, and will have to ride to Twickenham anyway to get the train...also, will take me over the ton if I get round... If anyone's passing ktown, let me know and I can latch on.

That's all you'll need. Spare link and chain tool? Patches? Extra tube(s)? No reason to overpack as long as you have the right layers and food. It's the beauty of the track bike, not much to go wrong.

I had half a cautious eye on this (and even removed the Hamax in anticipation) but will sadly be out of London this weekend. It seems somehow appropriate that the temperature has dipped and the chance of rain has increased a bit to ensure this ride truly lives up to it's name.
Bon courage fearless riders - don't forget your ear coverage (I'm currently debating whether to wrap an old t-shirt around my head for the ride home having forgotten mine!)..

Sounds good, I was more thinking of stuff that could help / come in handy for others. I usually pack pretty light for longer rides myself.

I'm cycling in from Wimbledon, but I'm not exactly sure when I'll be passing through Kingston yet. I'm aiming to be at the start line at 8:30 or a few minutes after though.

Bearing in mind I've got to drive round the M25 to get to Staines, there's always the possibility that
I could be late.On no account wait for me because I can catch you up, but mobile phone numbers might be useful.
Could somebody send me their no. as a pm?

Looking forward to seeing you all in the morning.

Thanks for the numbers.
One small point, possibly too obvious to mention, but whoever is ride leader should make sure he knows how many of you there are when you leave.

It is sad. But tbh it isn't much fun doing this ride if your are not equal to your coriders.

I’m well and truly out, sadness. Enjoy the ride everyone!

I'm on your train, heading your way from Waterloo. Are you still looking to make the 7:58?

There were two locks left behind in Staines. If you want to post me your keys I can bring them home to the dry and post them back.

Great ride folks. Really enjoyed it. Mullered now though. Nearly feinted getting a pizza from the co-op.
