was told i shouldnt use upright bars for this ride so i have decided to use the dolan instead. i dont see what the problem would have been myself

I'll be on cut-loop h bars probably if i have time to swap or just a standard flat bar - if you are comfortable over distance in that set up then i wouldn't let that stop you riding. I wouldn't want to ride it in full dutch bike mode though.
