  • Carbon chainrings last ages, unless you break a tooth. Which is much more likely with a front derailleur.

  • That's what I've heard. I'm going to go very easy for the initial kms and just keep checking on derailleur setup so cables are properly bedded in etc. but I believe they last every bit as long as any other material in normal usage!

    52/36 rings are ordered and en route anyway along with a 110bcd S-Works carbon spider as they can't make a 130bcd 36t inner.

    Does anyone have a recommendation for lightweight/ excellent brake cables, gear cables and 11sp chain?

  • Except the one I had that self-destructed during the Nat 24.

    @scherrit got the old cranks and Di2 FD back on and working during a 45min lap on the spare bike.

    All my others have been fine though so, dunno.
