My dad has one in a small bathroom. Shallow shower tray, small step up (5cm), half glass screen and pivot door. Works well.
My sister has one in a larger bathroom - long and narrow with basin closest to the door then loo then shower. No tray, just tiled to falls, no screen, no curtain. It's shit.
Both have underfloor heating, I think. For sister it's pretty essential otherwise the floor would be permanent wet.
Oh, on the subject of bathrooms...
I don't think the drop or whatever it is called is enough in mine... the shower is on a plinth to make up for it (about 6inches off the floor) so its a step up.
I too want a new bathroom, and want a walk in shower where the tray is the same height as the rest of the floor, I feel it will be ruined if it isn't the same level.
Resisting tagging Airhead because I'm sure he will know the answer, but anyone else have any ideas? Cut through some floor joists to lower the pipes?
