I rode to work with the current setup this morning & it kind of worked. Not sure if it's the indexing which is off or it's the fault of the different jockey wheel. I'll keep at it & see.
Yeah, it's ridiculously expensive. Think I'll keep my eye out for knackered derailleurs on eBay (surely with it being a CX-aimed derailleur these should come up all the time?) to see if I can nab some spares for cheaper.

They're 'somewhat' compatible. Different years of Shimano RDs have different size wheels and you need to make sure you get the top and bottom wheels right and the rotation direction right.
£34 for jockeys seems ridic (and I bought CeramicSpeed for the TT bike). I think I paid less than a tenner for Shimano jockey wheels. No idea about NW though. Don't use that shit.
