  • Not had a cable break. The only issue I had was the rubber on the outside of the dial falling to pieces after a couple of years.

Emailed them and the replacement arrived FoC within a few days.

  • how often do the wires break?

I'll let you know if one ever breaks on the Lake CX170s I've been using for the past six or seven years

  • Thanks all re Boas. I suppose I was just a bit nervous of these flimsy scraps of fishing line compared to great big ratchet straps.

What are they anyway? Plastic? Kevlar?

    Edit: plastic-coated steel.

  • I have some velocity deep vs, drilled for presta, can i drill them for schraeder or will I die?

  • Ah, I can confirm that the sidi equivalent are not plastic coated steel having snapped three of them

  • It's large print so more limited print run and physically bigger most times.

  • sidi equivalent

    Not equivalent 🙂

  • I don't think I understood what you're trying to say.
Isn't hardcover usually the more desirable and higher quality edition, thus more expensive?

  • Mailchimp experts:

I send 1 campaign email a week, appx 170 weeks worth.

I receive a copy of this and save as archive. It's also saved within mailchimp. My email account has changed with change of employer, non of my folders were copied over so I've lost my email archive.

I need to search on a keyword within the message body to find a specific email I'd sent.. Is there a way to do this within mailchimp dashboard?

Looks so far to me like only if that word is in the subject field not the body but my experience is nothing seems easy in mailchimp.

    Any help appreciated.

  • It'll be fine but are there schraeder valves long enough though?

  • Yes if the font print sizes are the same. Not as many people want a book with a large font size so they don't make as many which pushes the price up. The paperback standard font edition will likely come out after a few months at a lower price.

  • Yeah just about. They're a lot more robust than presta when it comes to deflecting shots.

  • I am trying to recall the name for those uber-trendy visual lists people do to keep track of activites such as how often you exercise/take your medicine/wank.
IIRC they have a two syllable name thats either an acronym or a portmanteau.

Relatedly, I am thinking of limiting my drinking to about 10 units a month. There are millions of ways to keep track of this, but I am wondering if there is a nice intuitive visual app I could use to track each drink.

  • A - apple watch

    B - get married

  • I am thinking of limiting my drinking to about 10 units a month. There are millions of ways to keep track of this

By far the easiest way to track this is to limit your alcohol consumption to zero. <10 achieved, no counting required. Three decades in, this system has proven completely reliable for me.

  • Cursory search of the Play Store shows many, for android anyway. "AlcoDroid Alcohol Tracker" seems to be highly rated, with 1m+ downloads as well.

  • "Alexa -add a beer to my drinks list"

  • Yeeeah.... but how popular is it to open up such an app when you're in a bar with your mates?
Hence why a vague visual list would be preferable.

  • You’re embarrassed about limiting your alcohol?

  • 10 units a month? That's just a couple of beers before going out, one day a month should be pretty easy to track without a weird app.

  • IIRC they have a two syllable name thats either an acronym or a portmanteau.

    Kanban?

  • If someone says something will happen on the 3rd Monday of Jan 19, does it generally mean 14 Jan or 21 Jan? Or is this opoen to debate?

Just wanted to know if my asshole boss has missed my development deadline for me (Don't ask me why our deadlines are not fixed dates, I have no idea, they are just 3rd Mondays of some random months). I sent him my request before Christmas and he just keeps dithering dithering and dithering and I told him I want it sent by 5pm today just in case 14 Jan is the 3rd Monday of this month where the panel will meet... that's where the communication has gone cold and he has fucked off home.
