Thanks!
Yes I did. And it is currently standing still. It will need some love as well. Me and Sam are talking about it and will find some time to do it during spring hopefully. I wont work on my cargo bike until I return to Denmark. The tiny person won't be able to be on the bike until 2020 I think. So I should have most of Summer 19 to sort it out.
3. Utility Bike 2
My heir is in the making as we speak and should hopefully be with us late June. This means I am leaving the country to bring her up somewhere in rural Denmark.
I need to do something to fix up my cargo bike as I am really looking forward to riding around with her...
I have just learned that Schwalbe is now doing a G-One Speed in 406x40c as well as a 650b offering which allows me to lower the bike a bit while also increasing comfort. Geometry is originally build around a 700x32c (D694mm) rear and a 451x28c (D515mm) front. Using G-Ones I can get a 584x40c (672mm) rear tyre and and a 406x40c tyre (D494mm) which means the bike will be 11-12mm lower and a lot more supple. Ideally I'd like a 50mm front tyre, but I also want low rolling resistance...
Here is an old image of how it was build up:
I will redo the dropouts as I can do them a lot neater now and patch up some shitty joints. I might do a cable steering on this as I need to figure that shit out any ways and because I have some new ideas on how to do that and the kickstand also needs revisiting.
Finally I need to decide on a colour for this... Currently I am thinking Ultra Marine blue as I freaking love that colour and it might look good on this...
