whilst i don't entirely disagree with any effort to improve the air quality in LFL, i do feel this sort of regressive taxation bullshit is going to hit the poorest far harder than some moneyed W1 resident who will happily shrug off a few hundred quid a month for the convenience / cachet of driving a fuck off car in town 7 days a week.
I just checked, unless I turn off the South Circular, toward the centre of London, I won't get charged - even when the zone expands.
That's for the 911 - the five and a half litre estate car passes and isn't subject to the charge, and therefore is the ideal around town runabout.
