@nefarious that’s about the size of what I have now, but not quite big enough in winter- I run 6 miles then get train so need a jacket to keep warm, lunch for work, snacks etc
Might give OMM a go as I like the outside mesh pockets

Mine is https://www.runnersneed.com/p/omm-adventure-light-20-l-M4624334.html but now that's the Ultra 20 with some slight changes. If you can get up to a Runners Need store they should have a selection of current bags so you can try for fit.
Reminds me I still hanker after a 32l classic for light camping duties.

OMM 20l straps are fine for me at 6ft2andabit.
I find the 8l 'yoke' strap sits higher, but I'd always put that down to design.
Work have some Osprey mtb bags, I borrowed one to run with once and it was v.comfy.
