• Fuck him in the face with fire. Glad you are ok and looking forward to cunty chops getting a sizable wallet reaming by his insurance company.

  • Amazing. Actual lol.

  • Well done for keeping your cool and great news on the conviction.
You've come out on top in every aspect.
Nothing you did there was wrong. Taking the lane is never questionable as it's your right. Riding on the pavement as you were being harassed with a weapon is never questionable either.

  • That’s exactly what you should do. If you feel threatened get out of the road way.

If I’m going to interact with the driver of a car, who has put my life in danger, I always make sure I am out of the roadway and have an escape route.

  • thanks for the reassurance folks. part of me wonders if restorative justice would be helpful in this kind of instance. as pleased as i am that he has been deservedly hit by a fine, points and presumably an increased insurance premium, i do wonder whether he is genuinely contrite or instead feeling angry and inconvenienced. the thought of him going back out on to the road if it's the latter worries me.

  • Hopefully his own selfishness outweighs the anger. I wonder if he had any points on his licence already? Could be one incident away from a ban.
    Good work!

  • Asked the police if a court transcript was available or if they could share what about my case made it worth pursuing when so many aren’t (pursued, not worth it).

Our courts do not do transcripts and we certainly do not give out information.

    So that’s that then.

  • How dare you ask such a thing!

  • CERTAINLY DO NOT [YOU FUCKING IDIOT]

I love how some people feel it's OK to communicate like that, like when they use

    unfortunately

before the thing that they could do for you, but CBA to do for you, because they are the kind of person who uses the word unfortunately when denying a request.

  • A transparent legal system, what on earth were you thinking?!

  • The case would be heard in a Magistrates’ Court which is not a court of record. Therefore no transcript etc. Had it been the Crown Court ( higher court) there would have been one.
The Police are not the prosecuting authority - the Crown Prosecution Service is. They may be able to provide details. Certainly, the Police would not provide this.
You could have attended court and watched the proceedings and then you would know what went on.

  • My letter informing me of the court date gently suggested that wasn’t worth attempting – ‘this is the scheduled time and date, liable to change without notification’ etc etc. Having recently endured jury service and seen how things shift I was unwilling to chance it. Your reply is how I would have preferred the police one to be though, thanks for the info.

  • Court dates change frequently. If you had the time and inclination ( unusual and unlikely for normal people), it is possible to track the case by attending on each hearing.
I’m not sure of the situation in England but it may have been possible to track it using the Court Service lists which may be available on line. Again, that will take time on your part.
The Police should have given you the info, perhaps you spoke to someone having a bad day but that is no excuse really. A query, which can be answered verbally, is short and sweet and, more importantly, easy!

  • First post doesn’t seem to contain a link to where I can report a driver, if it happened in Bromley is that met?

    Horrible punishment pass.

  • Roadsafe hyperlink in first post

  • Ah didn’t realise that was for reporting to police. Thanks!

    Thanks @pizzarat

  • Clue is in the title!

  • I mean, I assumed that roadsafe was an independant thing, not the police. So I didn’t click that link.

  • Can someone help work this out so I can report it?

RD63UGY doesn't come up on DVLA.
